Mary Datchelor House is a collection of 5 one bedroom apartments, 4 two bedroom apartments and a three bedroom apartment in the sympathetically restored school building. The original brick facade has been retained while all apartments have been fitted to a extremely high standard.

With many of its original features retained, this fine refurbishment brings the character, charm and elegance of a bygone era into the 21st Century.

 

Façade Engineering provided the Schuco Curtain Wall envelope and Lift—Slide Windows to the 3rd floor extension on this challenging refurbishment.

 

The Curtain Wall included integral Brise Soleil to give to provide solar control and shade to the balconies.

 

In addition to the Curtain Wall Façade Engineering supplied a complex facetted bolted glass roof over the new Atrium formed between the existing building and new extension and three structural glass link bridges with “walk on” glass floor panels.
